How to get my parents to stop harping on me about school?
I want them to understand that if they complain about my 78% av. i wont study any more than i already do. They said if i don't get an 80 + av this semester then they are going to take my computer away. Again I don't care, that wont stop me from doing any more. Im also very very smart, i follow stocks and have made over 12,00 in investments, i can count cards and i study case law on my free time, ive actually had a job offering at a law firm. But on paper i just cant put my thoughts down. Im a good kid im on student council, improv, mayors youth council, lots of volunteering, golf team, opera board and school news paper. I like to party a bit but im some what safe when doing so. How do i make them under stand that i learn more on Y!A then i do at school!

WOW! When I read this, I actually realized that someone elses parents are just like mine. I am also 14, and I am also very smart. They already took my computer and xbox 360 away because I didn't study for a semester exam, and still got a 96%. I have straight a's taking all honors classes, but no matter what I do they are never happy with me. They tell me I'm lazy, and that brains alone won't take me anywhere. If they threaten to take away my laptop/xbox 360 it is actually a disensentive to study more, in fact it makes me study last! So, unfortunately I have concluded they will never be satisfied with what I do. Your situation sounds very similar to mine, if I were you I would conclude the same thing I did. Just keep in mind that high school can and will dictate what happens for the rest of your life. Basically just work hard in school, and no matter what your parents say just have the "screw you" attitude. And same here, I learn more on my laptop than I do at school, which my parents will NEVER understand. I feel the same way you do, and it is nice to know that someone out there can sympathize with me!
