Leather Can Help You Stand Out
People vary in the taste and style of their outfits. Some group are more active than others. That is why they need a get-up that would support their kind of lifestyle. When they choose their clothes, everything needs to match. This is why, diverse types of watches are offered in the market to suit each needs. A leather watch is a good example of this.
The band of men's sport watch are sometimes made of animal skin leather. Leather watches are taken from the skins of certain animals. Others are made of plastic with leather designs. Leathers utilized in straps commonly make use of crocodiles, ostriches and stingray.
The kind of leather materials made from crocodile skin differ from ostrich and stingray leathers. Each skin has certain characteristics that make them different from the leather of other animal skins.
Take for example crocodile skins. The skin from this animal produce striking features. Crocodile is as old as the dinosaurs who ruled the earth thousands of years ago. When other species had vanished or were wiped out, this animal managed to survive.

Ostrich leather is another alternative for watch straps. Ostrich skin makes very attractive leather watches. This leather type is more elastic and soft than the crocodile's. The leathers are known for their ability to withstand the test of time and the gentle skin. Those who prefer ostrich leathers are accomplished people who make a difference in their fields.
Stingray is another important source of leather material for watches. In some culture, stingray provides exotic nutrients and form part of the daily fare. The meat from this sea animal are ingested due to its multiple health benefits especially in the Far East like Japan and China.
In the past, Japanese warriors and Samurai utilized stingray leathers for their swords. The leather is known to provide the Japanese a better hand grip of their swords. The non-stick feature is also one of its distinguishing features. It is also able to withstand heat and fire. Stingray leathers would definitely make reliable straps.
No stingray leather is similar to others. Each bears a distinguishing diamond mark that makes it unique from other stingray leathers. You can be sure that your stingray watch strap is totally different from the other straps. This is one of the reasons why a stingray strap is very valuable.
To attain the perfect active look, a leather brown boot would greatly help. If you assemble these matching outfit together, you will surely create a wonderful impression.
Where can I get short vintage leather guitar straps?
I'm looking for vintage guitar straps, leather with a shoulder pad (think The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964), that are shorter, something like 38 inches at its shortest. Ones by Fender, Gretsch, Rickenbacker, etc are too long for my liking, even at their shortest setting (virtually below my waist). The closest I've found is Levy's PM22, but the problem is I would have an ugly amount of strap hanging past the strap buttons. Can anyone help me?
go to a guitar shop and ask them to hook u up.
They have magazines and tons of stuff so they can find whatever u need.
U can also check out an older guitar shop, cuz they'll prob. have more vintage items.
