A Boat Ride On Lake Travis Austin
Town Lake, in Austin Texas, is a breathtaking out-of-doors playground for adults and children alike. This area of Austin includes the water sports of fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, rowing and parasailing. One of the largest lakes near Austin, Lake Travis encompasses approximately 19,000 acres. The greatest depth is 190 feet. The shoreline is diverse and includes chunk rock, steep cliffs, docks, marinas and flooded brush. Depending on where you are in the lake you can find the water clear (typical of a highland reservoir) or tainted (like a flatland type impoundment).
