Find the Inclusive Matters of Green-Friendly Products
There are plenty of ways to choose a green-friendly lifestyle, but it all resumes to personal convictions and beliefs. There is a common belief that green-friendly products equal lack of comfort, and if we think how eager we are to pamper our bums with ultra-soft toilet paper, we may understand how true this is. Well, you may not care or know that the fiber used for such products comes from virgin wood fiber taken from tree pulp. Next time when you fancy yourself as a green-friendly person, think about your daily habits and find out how serious your environmental concern really is.
You can recognize a green friendly person by the food he/she eats. Whether out of preoccupation for personal health or care for the environment, lots of people buy local food instead of the non-organic products available in hypermarkets. A vegetables garden will produce very nice food that can be kept 100% pesticide free. This could very well cover a family's needs of tomatoes, carrots, peppers, peas or beans in a very inexpensive way. If you don't have the possibility to grow the vegetables yourself, you can buy from local green-friendly farms.
Then, to give some further green-friendly lifestyle examples we ought to refer to outdoor activities more. How much time does your child spend in front of the computer or watching TV? The choice of the leisure activities should be from those that require spending time outside. Walking or playing outside in a natural setting, doing sports, going hiking, cycling or climbing are just a few examples of how you can develop a green-friendly lifestyle for the entire family. If more parents thought like this, there would be fewer video-game consoles sold all over the world.
A green-friendly life is defined by several other elements. From the effort to reuse and recycle to the very building of a house according to sustainable criteria, there is so much one can do to stay in harmony with the environment. We have got so used to our comfort, to the huge number of ready made items that serve us every day that we not even think where all our litter goes once we dump it in the bin or what happens to the waste water full of household residues. Just think for a second that the fish we serve for dinner may come from the toxic pool that the ocean has become, then, we may be more co-interested in cleaning this larger 'home' of ours.
Some of the best thing about green-friendly living, is by using ultrasonic pest control instead of using chemicals to get rid of pests from our environment. You can check out the reviews on ultrasonic pest control and preventive pest control sites, where you can get useful information about how to eliminate pests in most safest and convenient method.
I am looking for cheap, yet more durable than cardboard, sheet material. Any suggestions?
I need massive amounts of a cheap sheet material. I am making simple, life-size, human-shaped cut-outs. The material needs to be weather resistant, but not permanent. The cut-outs will be painted white, if the material isn't already white, so some durability/water resistance can come from acrylic paint.
I have access to a complete wood shop and metals studio.
I was originally looking for cheap, man made lumber, like paneling. I am now looking for any sort of inexpensive sheet material. Links to websites would be lovely, so that I can see prices as well. Suggestions are appreciated; my web searches have been unfruitful.
Hardboard, or masonite.
